GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado men's basketball's Andre Spight left his mark on the court at Bank of Colorado Arena and now has the chance to leave his mark with the Denver Nuggets. Spight signed with the Nuggets on Friday to be a part of their Summer League team in 2018.
Northern Colorado's student-athletes are not only succeeding on the field but also in the classroom, recording the 13th straight semester with a collective term GPA over 3.00. The Bears ended the spring semester with a 3.17 GPA for the term and a department-best cumulative GPA of 3.19.
NORFOLK, Va. – Northern Colorado swim and dive earned its 13th consecutive semester on the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Team list announced on Tuesday by the CSCAA. To earn a spot on the list teams must have a 3.0 GPA or better during the semester. UNC qualified well above the mark with a 3.47.
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado Athletics announced the hiring of Jennifer Roulier-Huth as head women's basketball coach. A Colorado native, she returns home to the Centennial State after serving as an assistant coach the past seven seasons, most recently at UCLA. UNC will formally introduce Roulier-Huth at a press conference on Tuesday, May 1 at 2 pm in the Champions Room at Butler-Hancock Athletic Center.
CHICAGO – Northern Colorado baseball looked for its first Western Athletic Conference series win of the season, but was unable to put together timely hits and fell to Chicago State 7-4. The loss puts the Bears at 23-21 for the season and 6-12 in the WAC.
BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Northern Colorado men's golf entered the final round of the Big Sky Championship with a five-stroke lead and took care of business on Sunday winning the program's first Big Sky Title. CHICAGO, Ill. - Northern Colorado baseball put runs on the scoreboard in each of the first six innings as the Bears defeated Chicago State 11-7 on the road Friday afternoon at Cougar Stadium. Chicago State made a late comeback to get the game within striking distance but the Bears pitching staff did just enough to hold the lead in the first game of a three game series in Chicago.
LAS VEGAS, Nev.- After the first day of competition in the United World Wrestling Junior Freestyle, Chris Sandoval and Robert Winters Jr. will both continue their stay in Las Vagas. Both wrestlers advanced to Saturday and will compete in the second consolation round of eight on Friday.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -The Bears came up just short of their goal in the final match of the season Sunday morning, losing 5-2 to North Dakota at Choice Health and Fitness Center. North Dakota took No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to lead 1-0, then carried their momentum into singles, where only Kyle Pease and Alex Exsted were able to pick up wins for the Bears.
